Jeffrey Star Reveals Blood Lust Collection

Jeffrey Star Reveals Blood Lust Collection

Hi, how are ya? Beauty mogul and CEO Jeffrey Star released a video on his YouTube channel showing off the brand new collection called Blood Lust. This is the 3rd collection in his "Blood Line" collection and oh my is it gorgeous. As Jeffrey said in his video, "What do you get when you mix red and blue? Purple!" The color purple has been associated with royalty for centuries so the overall color theme for this collection is just perfect.

Don't expect the same coffin-shaped packaging as Blood Sugar and Blue Blood. For Blood Lust, Jeffrey and his team created a unique shape for the eyeshadow palette - hexagon! Including a uni-carton that has building "bumpers" to protect the shadows during shipping, the palette itself is encased in purple velvet. Talk about extravagant! In Shane Dawson's docu-series showing the process of creating a palette from beginning to end, we got an inside look at the cost of creating an eyeshadow palette. The Blood Lust palette SCREAMS luxury, so does it have a price tag to match? Our wallets are thanking Jeffrey Star because this palette is priced at $54, just as his previous palettes. I fully appreciate Jeffrey Star Cosmetics keeping these palettes affordable considering all the material used in the packaging and the buttery formula.

Aside from the eyeshadow palette, the collection also includes The Gloss in 5 different shades ($18), Queen Bitch mini velour liquid lip bundle ($52), Extreme Frost ($50), Crown Hand mirror ($30), Lavender and Purple glitter star mirror ($25), Violet and Mauve grinders ($20), Purple metal straw 4-pack ($19.99), Purple crossbody bag ($45), Blood Lust bomber jacket ($60), Blood Lust windbreaker ($45), and Purple and Lavender dad hats ($25).

This release has many fans already planning how they'll acquire these items on the release date (create an account on Jeffrey Star Cosmetics website, y'all). Others have taken to social media to express they were expecting a different color story - darker, more dramatic with golds and purples. According to Cosmopolitan, Jeffrey Star has addressed this via Instagram Stories, "I wanted to make a palette that could complement any pink, any purple, any magenta, and fuchsia look. And I think maybe the photography is translating a little light on a few of the shades but when you see them all in person and you touch them, and the shifts and the metallics and the lavenders… bitch, it’s everything I dreamed of.” Jeffrey also give us a little teased about his next palette, “I didn't want to go full dark goth. I know some of you were maybe expecting that but if you want a crazy goth moment... get ready for the next palette after this one." Color me intrigued!

The Blood Lust collection releases on February 21st at 10am PT. What do you think of the Blood Lust collection? If you could only pick 1 item from the collection, which one would you get? Sound off in the comment section below.
