She's No Jedi

She's No Jedi

On this glorious May 4th that we also known as "Star Wars Day", fans everywhere celebrates the fandom giant that is Star Wars.  Aside from the Instagram and twitter posts from fans, Heathrow Airport joined in on the celebrations by putting up Departure times for various planets (Alderaan was cancelled 😭).

Her Universe is bringing out all the stops today by launching not one but two new collections! First, the one Ahsoka Tano activewear line. I posted about this back in January in my "Most Anticipated Geeky Finds of 2018" post. Now the collection is available for purchase on Hot Topic and Her Universe website. But act fast! Certain sizes are already running low in stock or sold out. I, for one, never whipped out my wallet so quickly. I purchased all three pieces and can't wait for it to arrive. Let's take a look at each piece.

Ahsoka Tano Active Jacket
Basically this is an excuse to to cosplay or bound as my favorite Star Wars character at the gym. Or in my daily life. The jacket is designed after Ahsoka's iconic costume. It's a fitted front-zip jacket, mesh panels throughout, and has pockets with zippers . Other details includes the Falcrum symbol and the white and blue collar and shoulder panels to give a nod to her Lekku. Also, thumbholes!

Ahsoka Tano Sports Bra
Low-impact racerback bra baring the Falcrum symbol in gold. This bra is in maroon and also has mesh panels on the side.

Ahsoka Tano Leggings
This is almost an exact replica of Ahsoka's leggings from Star Wars: Rebels. I would pick this up   even I didn't hit the gym. These leggings makes cosplaying as Ahsoka an easier task. I love the capri cut of this and especially love the small zip pocket your keys or ID on the waistband. We see the presence of the orange mesh again, running down the side of each leg in diamond shapes.

Moving on the second collection Her Universe released today, which is a beauty!

Create your own galactic-inspired look with the first-ever classic Star Wars beauty collection from Her Universe in collaboration with Hot Topic. The assortment includes new Star Wars inspired eye shadow and highlighter palette named Hyperspace, Lightsaber-themed make-up brushes (coming soon to Hot Topic) and Lightsaber themed Lip Gloss (coming soon), bath bombs, a dark side fragrance, and, for those scruffy looking nerf herders, a Chewbacca grooming kit for men.

The Hyperspace palette packaging slightly resembles the Infinity Gauntlet palette released just just about a month ago for Avengers: Infinity War. I love the large mirror that is built into the palette with the quote "The Force Is Strong With You". The shadows includes shades ranging from vibrant to neutral in shimmer and matte finish. I especially love the pearlescent highlight in the middle with the Rebel embossed symbol.

The Chewbacca grooming kit for men includes body wash, fragrance, beard oil, and pomade. But let's face it, products aside, the star of this is the Chewbacca bag.

"When I first launched Her Universe in 2010, I shared with the fans that it was a dream of mine to make Star Wars beauty products," said Her Universe Founder Ashley Eckstein. "Almost 8 years later, I am finally making good on that promise! To see my idea of a Lightsaber Lip Gloss set come to life is literally my fangirl dream come true!"

The Star Wars beauty collection from Her Universe in collaboration with Hot Topic is available now in Hot Topic stores and online at hottopic.com and heruniverse.com, as well as the Ahsoka Tano Activewear.

I'm loving these new releases from Her Universe and can't image what the next collection will entail. We all know it's called "Disney Destination" and it features Disney Princesses, but I'm ready to be blown away.
