Nighttime Lights At Hogwarts Castle - Truly Magical
Back in May, Universal Studios Hollywood announced the return of "Nighttime Lights At Hogwarts Castle", a light show spectacular that brings the castle to life. Geek & Glitter was invited to experience the show and having never seen it before, I was really excited.
As night falls, the crowd gathers in front of Hogwarts to watch the castle come to life. The lights dim and John Williams' score begins to fade in. As the Sorting Hat narrates, the castle lights up with color and animation for each House: Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, and Gryffindor. The Pyrotechnics a nice addition to the show, giving some magical flair.
The show lasts about 6 minutes and runs several times through the night. I stayed to watch the second show because the projection is so much more beautiful in person than it is on camera. I wanted to be able to take it in without looking through a lens. While I am a proud Ravenclaw, I thought the animation for Hufflepuff was the most stunning, and the heart-thumping theme for Slytherin was my favorite.
You can catch the Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts now through August 19th and September 1st through 3rd. What is your favorite part about Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle?
