Lookbook: Styling Solo
Solo: A Star Wars Story is now in theaters and what better way to celebrate Han Solo's origin story than dressing the part? In a previous post, I talked about the latest collection by Her Universe dedicated to the iconic smuggler. In this post, I'm posting a couple of specific pieces from the collection and how I style each one.
Kessel Run Track Pants
This limited collection features multiple pieces from "Our Universe", a line designed for men. Aside from the Han Solo jacket and the Lando Calrissian cape, there's the Kessel Crew tracksuit. It's super retro and super comfy! The tracksuit is unisex, but sizes online are listed in men's size so keep that in mind when you're ordering. To give you a better idea - I'm 5'1 and the small is a tad too big. My husband who is 6'1 actually fit into the small but it pant hit a little above the ankles. A medium would probably be a perfit for for him. Size XS is available online for us shorties.
The navy blue pants with rainbow stripes is perfect for running errands or lounging around. I love the Millenium Falcon patch on the ankle as a subtle nod to the Star Wars fandom. In fact, you will find various icons such as the Millenium Falcon or Sabacc cards printed on the pieces. The navy blue makes it easy to style, almost any color shirt goe with it.
High-Waisted Striped Shorts
These high-waisted shorts is probably my favorite from the entire collection. I love the color blocking and the design. I can already tell these shorts will be a staple for the summer. For this look, I kept it casual with a white tee and added a pair of yellow earrings for a pop of color. I paired it with my go-to brown booties with a mid-heel.
Striped Ringer Tee
This top screams 70s! The orange and navy strips is a constant color theme I'm noticing throughout the collection. Did you notice the mini Millenium Falcon patch? For this look, I'm staying with the casual theme and just wearing it with a pair of light skinny jeans and blue slip-ons. Silver hoops and heart-shaped sunnies were added for a little flair.
